Shows the title in a simple surround at upper right including the scale bar ("Scale of 600 yards") and a lettered key identifying "the old Fort", "the New one", "the Garden", "Grenadier Redoubt", "the Chimney" and "a Meadow".
Shows only the forts on the west side of Lake Champlain, but the wider environs surrounding "the chimney" are shown on the west side of the lake.
