Inset at lower left with an additional map showing the Battle of Bladesnburg; "SKETCH of the ENGAGEMENT on the 24th Aug.t 1814., between the British and American Forces". Includes a lettered key (A-K) at lower right and its own scale bar "Scale of one Mile" (scale approximately 1:15,840).
Annotation to map verso refers to another map in The National Arichives: "Maryland. 'Sketch of the Engagement on the 24th of August 1814 between the British and..." (MPH 1/136/2).
