In this unique word-map the size of the words in each neighborhood expresses the proportion of foreign-born residents in that area. For example, the large “Vietnam” in Dorchester indicates the relative size of the Vietnamese population within that neighborhood. An inset graph in the lower right shows the top 20 countries of birth for Boston’s foreign-born population as of 2015.
