Ralph Finos Map Collection at Phillips Academy
Phillips Academy alumnus Ralph Finos donated this small, eclectic, and beautiful map collection to Phillips Academy in 2018. An analyst of the technology market, he saw maps as an excellent metaphor for the technology market--often poorly understood and imperfect guides for what will happen next. Finos started collecting maps while browsing through an antique nautical shop in Chatham, Massachusetts and found 16th- and 17th-century atlases and maps to be especially interesting.
