The first printed map to use the names "Manbattes" (Manhattan), "N. Amsterdam" (New York), and "Massachusets" (Massachusetts).--Burden.
The earliest map to use the Dutch names of "Noordt Rivier" and "Zuyd Rivier" for the Hudson and Delaware Rivers.--Burden.
The map was first published in "Beschrijvinghe van West-Indien" (a Dutch text volume) in 1630. Subsequent editions in Latin (1633) and French (1640) followed. The map itself has no text to the verso in any edition.
The first occurrence on a map of "Novum Belgium", or New Netherlands.--Burden.
