Compare with the printed and engraved chart, "A Chart of the Coast of NEW FOUND LAND NEW SCOTLAND and NEW ENGLAND &c. By Ier: Seller and Cha. Price Hydrographers to the QUEEN At the Hermitage staires 1703" from [Seller & Price Sea Atlas ca. 1703] - Baynton-Williams. A copy of the atlas ("The English Neptune: or, a New Sea Atlas... with the nature and property of the trade winds, monsoons, &c. in all the known parts of the world") was sold by Bonhams containing an example of the engraved chart, 27 March 2007 (lot 467). A copy of the atlas is held by Yale University Library (Call number 1974 Folio 4). A manuscript copy (made in 1711?) of the engraved map (published 1703)?
Copy at Add Ms 33,231.HH. A roll. Manuscript annotation at lower right in black ink, "Handed over to Lieut. Monier Skinner R. Eng.r by his father in 1872" and initialled (by Monier Skinner?). Additional paste on label at lower right shows "Skinner" in pencil. Red stamp of British Museum at lower right. Laid on linen. Pressmark stamped to verso and repeated in pencil.
