Search the collection and make a folder of maps you want to save. Add items to your favorites by clicking the Star icon on search results, or the Add to favorites button on a map’s detail page.

You may organize your favorites into folders. By default, you start with a general favorites folder, but you may create additional folders to organize your items. Map sets can be made of maps from one or more favorites folders.

You may use a map already saved to one of your favorites lists, or search for a new map and add it to a favorites list. From there, you may add the map as the cover image

     - A map set consists of one or more pages. Pages can contain map images and text.
             -Pages may be organized into sections. If your map set has many pages, this may be a good option.
     -Select a layout - layouts consist of one or more map images with optional text blocks.
     -Add map images - Once you have selected a layout, you may add maps to the page. Click the Select an Image button.
             -You may use a map already saved to one of your favorites lists, or search for a new map and add it to a favorites list. From there, you may add the map to the map set page
     -Find your map image and click the select button
             -You may also add an image outside of the LMC collection using a URL to an external image. To do this, paste your URL into the Enter the URL of an Image field  (make sure you copy the "image URL" specifically!)
                     -Note: Please respect copyright law when using external images
     -Add optional text - if you selected a layout with text blocks, you may add text to describe your maps or add questions for teaching. You may use text formatting:
              -Bold, Italic, Underline
              -Heading and paragraph text
              -Quote blocks

Whether you duplicate an existing map set in the collection, or create your own, you can add everything from annotations to inquiry questions for your students.
You can also customize your map! While editing a map set page:
      -Choose the zoom and edit to zoom in to a small detail on your map. Use the plus and minus controls on the left to adjust the zoom
      -Add a shape, text box or point to your map using the controls on the left
      -When you are done adding annotations, click the save button in the top right

If you duplicate a set, you can change the order of the pages, switch out the maps and change it up

LMC has a collection of prepared curriculum materials that you can use in your classroom. These include lesson plans, activities, etc.
You may add a lesson or activity curriculum materials to your Map Sets.
To do this:
          -Save the Curriculum Item to a favorites gallery
          -Add the item to a Map Set page in the same way you would add a map image: 
                -Click the Select an Image button on the Map Set page
                -Find the curriculum item in your favorites and click the select button

(or create your own using the georeferencing tool)

Finding georeferenced maps:
          -On search results page, find the Georeferenced filter in the left hand menu
          -If there are already georeferenced maps matching your search term, you will see a count of items under “Yes”
          -Select “Yes” to limit your search to georeferenced maps
          -Once you click into a georeferenced map’s detail page, you will see an Overlay tab - this will show you the georeferenced map overlaid on the base map.
          -Add the map to your favorites list to add to a Map Set

If you find a map that has not yet been georeferenced, you may georeference it yourself. This involves adding coordinate control points to the same location on both maps using the georeferencing tool. Once you complete this process, you may use the map in your map set.
          -On a map’s detail page, click the “Georeference This Map” link
