This collection represents a selection of images from the American Textile History Museum, including prints, photographs, and insurance maps. These items reflect many different aspects of the American textile industry: images of textile companies (interior and exterior), textile machinery, textile workers, textile processes (weaving, spinning, etc.), and the like. The majority of these images date from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
The American Textile History Museum closed its doors in 2016. Items in this collection have been transferred to either Cornell University Library or the Osher Map Library at the University of Southern Maine.
